First thing I thought when the news broke. Home against Philly at the latest unless we see a huge turnaround this Sunday.

This is some goofy shit I've never seen before. Maybe other teams have done some weird shit like this, but I can't think of it off the top of my head.
Looked like somebody shot his dog when "he" benched Matt Ryan. And now, he didn't get fired? He resigned? Are we sure about that? I can't think of any HC that ever just resigned except for Bobby Petrino when he had a Arkansas job lined up. Is Jim Irsay completely Jerry Jones-ing around the front office? And then skips over tenured coaches to appoint Jeff Saturday? So bizarre. |

Irsay makes no moves without a lot of thought and consultation. He does have trusted people that he listens to. |

Saturday is a leader of men, no question. Is he a football savant? Who knows, I’ve never been overly impressed with how intellectually hard football is and with so called football geniuses. Real genius is genius their entire life. Football genius lasts a year or two. It isn’t X and O’x. What you need is a leader, he is that.

As a buddy pointed out to me: what's probably going on is Irsay has decided to blow the coaching staff up and Saturday is doing him a favor by taking over for the rest of the year. On top of that it gives Saturday some good experience in case he decides to get into coaching full time.
Either that or as another buddy theorized: Irsay popped a couple of pills and then did the bubble gum, bubble gum thing w/ the names of everyone in the ROH .Joking aside what is interesting is that at least the IndyStar reported that John Fox was taking over. Maybe Fox agreed to it last night and then changed his mind after sleeping on it. |

Just think if the Raiders lose this week.
Any change is good change in my eyes. I was so tied of watching Reich. Did you see Tenn getting coached up last night? We have none of that. |
