He is definitely more accurate than Richardson and that will probably never change. He is a far superior athlete and his arm strength is unreal. If he can stay healthy and continue to progress we have us a beast, sans the accuracy thing. I am not sure that can be coached out of a player. Right now, this moment, this season we are better with Gardner. Say we win every game while Anthony is out? What do they do when he is ready to come back?
you can keep saying it. it doesn't make it true though.

we are a much more explosive team with richardson. which makes us better. in no world should minshew start over a healthy minshew

I made it perfectly clear I didn't want no part of this QB class, but I hope he makes me eat my words and makes me sorry I said it.
you should already understand you were wrong. AR has been really good for a rookie. taking him was absolutely the right move. regardless if his body doesn't hold up

AR makes this team relevant for the next 10-15 years. The kid is a stud and has the mind to make it all work. Rough start won't mean shit in a few years

I hope your right, but so far he hasn't gotten up after any substantial hit, that is concerning!

You would have to be an idiot not to be concerned. I am hopeful that AR has shown enough that this crap about him needing to use his legs to make up for his 'short comings' as a passer can be put to rest. Let him use his incredible skills as a quarterback, not some hybrid qb/running back. Minimizing the number of hits he takes seems sensible to me.

The Colts placed him on IR. I am betting that shoulder surgery is in order, either in a few weeks or after the year is done. My ortho friends say that a grade 3 will be unstable and more likely to dislocate if not properly repaired. We, of course, know nothing about whether it truly is a complete tear (grade 3s are) but if it is recovery, while a little longer, is 100% in almost all cases.

Nice video by doc about his injury:

Is IR with designation to return still a thing? Did he have that designation?

IR rules have been modified over the last few years.

This move means that Richardson will be out at least 4 weeks and won't count towards the 53 man roster.

This transaction seemed inevitable considering the reports that even the non-surgerical routes would take at least four weeks.

Teams can bring back players from the IR list 8 times over the course of the season. So in other words, there is no maximum to the number of players that can be placed on IR, but teams only have 8 "activations" per season to bring them back to the active roster.
