If I drove 80 miles, paid for parking, bought dinner in the stadium or a restaurant, I would have been disappointed, I suppose the younger fans even more not to see AR take some snaps. Disappointing fans is a poor business plan.
I will never bother with preseason games or camp ever again. I understand why they didnt play him, its their team. They could have been more forth coming about their plans. Disappointing young fans is a poor way to keep a fan base, and shelling out regular game prices for a glorified practice and not playing the starters for one series doesnt inspire trust with paying customers |

But if AR doesn’t work out, they can point to NasalGate as the reason. That missed day of practice. Last edited by Chromeburn; 08-20-2023 at 08:12 PM. |

I agree. Who goes to a preseason game to see quality football? Just people like Jaff, I guess.

Who goes to preseason games, many of them are people who cant afford regular season games, and can find someone willing to sell their or donate tickets for less than face value. The concession stand prices are just as expensive as regular season. Parking is still expensive. Gas is still expensive. What are their expectations? To see a good game, and see the stars. Its Irsays team, he can do what he wants. The way this was handled makes me less inclinded to go to a game when I can watch it on tv. |

At R/H, you were close to the players at the practice area and when they had a live scrimmage at the R/H stadium you could hear EVERYTHING. Things change not always for the better. Irsay and family have a good record with the fans. Since Jim took over, he has always put the fans first. The business Taylor and now AR is a departure from how they have communicated with the fans. Its very odd that the Colts want to keep AR working without the rest of the starting offensive group |

Also, playing 1-2 series w/ backups and against backups in a preseason game isn't going to be this huge detriment to AR's development that you and Doyel seem to think it is. |

Not the discussion. They name him the starter, and didnt start him. I doubt he will start in this last game. How this translates when the season starts will be interesting. The Colts could have been honest with the fans.
