I'm not counting on him, I'm imagining the possibility. You never know, look at Dak Prescott.

The Colts may only give him that chance under the circumstances that Prescott got his chance. I don't think Ballard wants to risk his job on Eason, even if he recognizes how talented Eason is.

Understood, but IMO, if the Colts rehire Rivers, they will have the worst QB in their own division. Not that Rivers is bad, it's just that the others are better.

Correct ...... but being a hell of a lot better than 5 in 30 million is not necessarily saying much in terms of odds.

30 million lottery tickets are purchased, none by me, cuz I don't like the odds. But hoping that Eason turns into a quality starter? I'd buy a ticket for that dream.

Every draft pick is a crap shoot. Eason has qualities that cant be taught. But he wasnt close to a finished product. Thats why he got drafted low in the draft. I am hoping the reason they didnt wait and get him as an UDFA, is that he has a good football IQ and has shown he coachable.

You dont by a ticket, you cant win. The Colts will need to find a guy like Brady, who had the tools and the brains and the work effort to succeed. And you have the right staff and coach the hell out of them

Lawerence might be a better athlete than Rivers, I’m betting he cant read an NFL defence

I bet he can. College is more advanced than it used to be. Kids are better coached now and coming into the league more advanced than they used to be. Also something people don’t mention much of, but I think Madden improves kids processing of football now. It’s essentially a football simulator they are playing all the time.

The anticipation I've seen on some of Mac Jones's throws is on par with a seasoned veteran. The moment the DB turns to run, he's throwing the ball on deep routes. He's also shown the ability to throw guys open.
