-Worst game by the defense all year.
-At one point, the front-7 looked good against the run, except for Hill in the wildcat. Eventually, though, they were worn down and got gashed. -Franklin was messed up. Kept coming back, surprisingly. Didn't look the same. -Leonard was in on a lot of plays and I like having him as one of our LBs... but he has yet to show ANY resemblance of that $19m player we signed pre-surgery. Still being patient, but as of now, he looks like an off-season cut (because nobody will trade for that contract). -Jaylon Jones was made love to. Tony Brown was molested. -Pass rush wasn't good. Only 1 sack and 2 QB hits. -Big plays were brutal. A couple, like the almost INT by Thomas, were tough. Most were bad plays by us. -Offense is very simple in my mind: Taylor and Moss ran the ball 23 total times, Minshew threw the ball 41 times. Does not work with this team. Situational or not, we HAVE to run the ball. -Quick count... 18 of our RB's 23 carries were in the first half. And we were gashing them. Scored 20 points. -We had 5 fucking rushes in the entire 2nd half. JT, our fresh, $42m back, had one single carry in the 2nd. Moss had 4, including our second 40+ yarder. Our final rush of the game came with 4:36 left in the 3rd quarter. I might rewatch to nitpick the OL and WR, but it doesn't matter. We're set up for failure when we abandon the run. |

here are mine
1) ballard has built a bad team. once again. we have cap space. once again. his inability to or unwillingness to use his resources to help the team is maddening. 2) leonard is done. this dude needs to be benched and/or cut. his ability and effort is garbage. be done with it. i am looking forward to him not being on the team 3) grover is good. buckner is really good. everyone else is just a body. paye is a good player. ebukam is as well. but they are role players. not difference makers. dayo gets a lot of hype but he is just hype. fine guy to have but he will never be a buckner. we have to get some pass rushers 4) our corner depth is garbage and we knew this. ballard knew this. baker and brown should never see snaps outside of special teams. baker should't even be on the team. major fail from ballard. 5) minshew is terrible in the pocket. just loses his mind if things get shitty. i am almost at the point that i am wanting ehlinger. a vet backup qb just cant turn the ball over this much. but he is a backup so i don't care all that much. season is over anyway, 6) colts can't play at home. i blame the fans. we have always had one of the worst fanbases in the league. lucas oil stadium really showcases how our fans are shit. there is no home field advantage. 7) how did brown not get benched? bradley should be fired for starting him after the half. 8) taylor was killing it and then we stop giving him the ball. fuck you steichen. moss is a fine backup but let taylor play. he shouldn't be on the bench so much 9) really starting to love downs. that kid can play. 10) outside of 1 wr. we need to go all defense in the draft. we have to get some pass rushers. it has to happen. we have no playmakers on d outside of buckner |

I agree we should just play Sam, Minshew is definitely better than Ryan or Wentz, but not good enough for s to compete for a playoff spot, so why not let Sam play?

I had to drive home this afternoon, so I was only able to watch the first half but listened to the 2nd half while driving.
- Our defense was horrible today. I know we have some guys out, but just a terrible performance against (at least up to this point in the season) a below average offense. If we don't get Brents back soon then it's probably not going to be any better. - Agree on the play calling. Seems like we keep abandoning the run, even when it's working. And obviously that doesn't go well. Like after they scored their 2nd TD and drew within 3 points. We come out in empty backfield and big surprise go 3 and out. - How many false starts did we have today? Seemed like we had way too many. - Venturi was pretty critical of Leonard in the 2nd half, especially on Kamara's 2nd TD. He said that rather than fill the hole Leonard basically moved out of the way which turned a 3 yard gain to a 16 yard td. Anyone watching the game notice that? |

No, we will win more meaningless games with Minshew!

Leonard is playing worse than a JAG. Ballard has let better LBs walk. I see no value in him. He’s done. I’m content with the offensive skill player talent. WR could be better, but they somehow have to solve DE. Especially if they are keeping Bradley’s scheme. They have complimentary pieces, no difference makers. #1 needs to be DE or CB unless the value is just off the charts at WR. |
