Same reason so many high picks bust or at least don't live up. Same reason Daniel Jones is the worst QB in NFL history but joins the Colts and then looks like a borderline All-Pro before he breaks his leg.

Shit's a crapshoot.

o

Lucas Carneiro booted a 56-yard FG, and a 55-yard FG ...... both of which were Sugar Bowl records. He broke the Sugar Bowl record with a 55-yarder in the 1st quarter, then broke his own record with a 56-yarder later in that same 1st quarter.

Last year when he played at Western Kentucky, he was 6-for-6 on FG attempts beyond 50 yards.

Who Is Ole Miss Kicker ??? Lucas Carneiro Breaks Sugar Bowl Field Goal Record ...... Twice

we got some sacks

our pass rush was still garbage. that isn't up for debate. no serious person thinks our pass rush was good

Very true. But his point was that the 49ers have less than half of our sacks (dead last in the league) and are pushing for the #1 seed.

Conversely, look at half of the top-10 sack teams: The Falcons (#2), Browns (#3), Lions (#4), Vikings (#6), and Saints (#10) don't have a winning record among them.

I think when our secondary is finally healthy it will help generate more pressure.

That will be a very scary secondary

It's not the number of sacks it is when you can get them. We have a very difficult time putting pressure on when the game is on the line.

People believe that you can scheme pressure with stunts and blitzes etc but you cannot scheme coverage. We are about to try to put that to the test.

I do think this is something Latu has and will improve on because early in games he’s had a lot of success, just seems like he gives everything he has early on and by the 2nd half he’s got nothing left.

I’m still pissed about the strip sack fumble on Purdy it was beautiful until the TE catches it and gained 3 yards.
