I missed it when I watched live... I cant believe how late it was... he had both feet on the ground before he got blew up.

I'm sure McCollum will be fined, a suspension would seem more appropriate, but would the 1-4 raiders really be impacted by a suspension of their 2nd string safety...

So I was wondering about this during the last game.

Obviously Rigo is the backup kicker in case of emergency / injury. But normally Rigo is the holder on FGs...so who is the backup holder?

And the beat reporters asked Brian Mason about it today.

So...right now if the Kicker gets injured, that will mean all three members of the FG unit: long snapper, holder and kicker get changed.

I can see why Steichen was a bit hesitant to kick without more practice / reps.

Colts Special Teams Coordinator Brian Mason says that TE Drew Ogletree and TE Tyler Warren are the team's backup long snappers.

LS Luke Rhodes is the backup holder.

P Rigoberto Sanchez is the backup kicker.

The Colts are signing K Michael Badgley to the active roster, sources tell me and Mike Garafolo.

After Spencer Shrader's season-ending knee injury, Indy moves forward with Badgley, who kicked for Indy in 2021 and is healthy after missing last season because of injury.

The answer will depend based on the injury settlement terms.

If a player and team agree to an injury settlement, a player is released and compensated for the estimated amount of time in which the injury would keep the player from being able to work. At that point, the player is free to sign with any team but may not sign back with the original team until the length of time from the injury settlement has concluded plus an additional 3 weeks.

So, for example, if the Colts gave him a month of compensation, then they couldn't sign him yet since not enough time would have elapsed.
