See man I don’t know Cam Newton was must see tv for a few years there and dominated the league yet he always got that type of treatment from the refs, just because they’re bigger guys the refs feel like they can handle it or some shit

IMO, on a designed QB run, the QB is technically no longer a QB but a RB. This is especially true if he lowers his shoulder and bulls his way forward. There's a lot of protection afforded the QB, every QB should be taught proper sliding technique and made to understand that NFL defenses can and will end your career if you give them the opportunity.

If anybody heard the presser with Bradley today, he more-or-less confirmed something I suspected...

Part of HOU's run success was our gameplan vs. Stroud. Sounds like the DL went in with a John Teerlink philosophy prioritizing the pass and defending the run with 6 in the box.

I once heard that some coaches make halftime adjustments. I suppose Tuesday morning isn’t too late to adjust the gameplan. 🙄

Looking at the snap % Buck played 68% of the snaps vs last season he played 72% of the snaps. It doesn't appear that he missed enough snaps for that to be major detriment of the run defense.

I haven't been able to find any source on this, so take it for what it is, which could just be an internet fable, but there are some that contend you are allowed to defend both the pass, and the run, during the same game.

I think it is interesting that Gus decided to defy these fables and go with the ever popular- defend neither approach. Solid strategy!
