I know other posters have been giving you shit for this, but I get what you mean. I miss the Manning/Luck days where any less than a good team seemed like a lock win, the good teams seemed anywhere from favorable to toss-up, and rarely did any opponent feel like a surefire loss. Hopefully Richardson can get us back to those days.

I just looked... Including '24, the Colts will have had Week-14 byes in three of the past four seasons. We were Week-11 last year, which is one of the better slots.

Week-14 is not ideal, but it's better than fucking Week-5 or Week-6. Those are shitty.

Definitely a tougher schedule than last year, but not too difficult either. I see 10/11 wins:

Week 1 home v. Texans. - L. We always lose the opener.
Week 2 at GB - L
Week 3 home vs. DaBears - W
Week 4 home vs Pitt - W
Week 5 at Jax - L
Week 6 at Ten - W
Week 7 home v Miami - Toss up
Week 8 at Hou - W
Week 9 at Min - W
Week 10 home v Buf - L, although they lost a ton in the offseason.
Week 11 at NYJ - L
Week 12 home v Det - L
Week 13 at NE - W
Week 14 Bye
Week 15 at Den - W
Week 16 v Ten - W
Week 17 at NYG - W
Week 18 home v Jax -W

Detroit is the only team that looks like they will be a juggernaut on our schedule. Houston is likely to revert back to the norm, given they are about the same team as last year. Jax is Jax,and will find a way to screw their season up. Jests look solid, but AAron is getting older, not younger. Buffalo is a shell of the team that made the AFCCG two years ago. The rest do not scare me as much as our ability to play to the level of the competition does.

I think you're underestimating GB. Also, Houston (at least on paper) got better in the offseason and Stroud and Anderson should be better in year 2 than year 1. Agree w/ you on the Jets, Buff, and the Jagoffs. But we'll at least lose @Jagoffs b/c that's just what we do.

The Colts will beat the Packers in similar fashion to the way in which they beat them in 2020, when Philip Rivers was the quarterback.

I have no basis or logic for that assertion, other than a healthy Anthony Richardson has a pretty good chance to be as effective taking snaps behind the center as Rivers was in that 2020 season, and/or as Andrew Luck was 2 years earlier in 2018.

I think Houston is about the same as last year, and we can handle them. Minimum, we split with them. I kind of agree about GB, but they don't scare me as much with Love there instead of when they had a younger Rodgers.

Plus Jordan Love isn't as good as Aaron Rodgers. With a healthy Richardson, I think the Colts offense can do more damage to the Packers defense than the Packers offense can do to the Colts defense.

Potentially, this offense looks like a powerhouse, however it all depends on AR being the QB we hope he can be and that's a big ?.
