I've never been able to wrap my head around the idea that Jeff Saturday is the realistic option going forward. The only thing that keeps me from writing him off is the level of undermining authority that Irsay has engaged in this season. Guys may not be interested in coming in or Irsay may not be interested in not being appeased.

In a vacuum, though... this thing is still too weird. No interview, no staff, no system(s)... how could that be the guy you like and not just a fill-in because you were desperate to get rid of your HC?

It's hard to even speculate about the draft or anything because we have no idea who will be here. I think I would be equally unsurprised whether we A.) have very little turnover or B.) completely gut it all, even sell all our players for a shitload of capital, and go Texans-mode for Williams in '24 and start over.
