Not for week 2, because the O-line never game Matt Ryan or the recievers time to throw/complete routes. |

Just FYI, position coaches, not the head coach, or the Coordinators, are responsible for playing time.
Position coaches are the ones who rotate players in and out during the game. It's the whole reason Brian Baker was fired last year. Because his rotation of the D-line was atrocious. So the RB's coach (Scottie Montgomery), or even the WR's coach, (Reggie Wayne) if he lines up at WR, have to put Hines on the field for specific plays/drives. |

When multiple departments fail at once, it's the CEO that takes the hit. Tired of all of our struggles being someone other than the head cheese. This QB, that coordinator, this position coach, the day of the week, the wrong kind of gatorade. Somewhere the buck stops with the guy who was given the title as HEAD COACH. Frank appears to be the shining example of great coordinator, terrible HC. |

I’m not on the smug train for him. I’ve heard Kevin and query call him that repeatedly this week. But they strike me as thin skinned. That query dude is a poster child of insecurity. I listened to that interview he keeps bringing up and I didn’t think Ballard was smug. He laid out his argument for what he was doing. And I don’t think he threw having a college degree in his face, I think query just internalized it. Kevin just wants to be right and acknowledged for pointing out the obvious.

Having worked with a lot of these same type of people I get the sense that both perceive themselves to be on a level of intelligence that others just can't appreciate. As such, they don't listen. They hear, they nod, but as soon as the conversation ends, all that diaglogue= gone, because they know best. In due time that sort of attitude leads to a general malaise that sets in where people stop even trying as they know it's not going to amount to anything. And that's EXACTLY where I think this team is with Frank, I don't think players even care at this point. He's got his plays, his boys, and he is going to run what he, as the genius that he is, believes will result in excellent results. These type of folks never accept they are failing, instead believing that they are "this" close to turning the corner, and when they do, lookout, best shit you've ever seen is going to happen. Far too frequently that corner ends up being a big ass circle of futility. And to me, that's exactly what Frank's doing, just creating a circle of suck because he can't listen to others and looking at the results at several positions, Ballard seems to be doing exactly the same thing. |

I will say Ballard lays out his thinking process extensively in interviews and doesn’t admit when he is wrong. Which is the opposite behavior from control freaks I have worked with. So 🤷🏻*♂️. My problem with him is not addressing holes properly. |
