One of the most memorable sporting events that I attended was a New York Mets game at Shea Stadium.

I was at Game 5 of the 1999 NLCS series against the Atlanta Braves.

The game went 15 innings, and ended with Robin Ventura's grand-slam single.

Shea Stadium was shaking from the crowd ...... it felt like an earthquake.

Too bad that the Braves won the series when they won the next game at Turner Field.

The Mets were down 3 games to 0 in that series ...... they won Game 4, they won Game 5, and they very nearly won Game 6.

They almost pulled of what the Red Sox did 5 years later, against the Yankees.
