(vs. CARDINALS, 12/25) Taylor may have had one of his most impressive games of the season, considering the fact that he had almost no offensive line to work with. It was mildly reminiscent of O.J. Simpson's excellent 1972 season, when he was running behind a below-average offensive line ....... in the off-season, GM Bob Lustig shored up that offensive line significantly, and they immediately vaulted into being one of the top blocking fronts in the NFL. "The Electric Company" helped pave the way for Simpson's historic 1973 season. To this day, he is the only player ever to rush for more than 2,000 yards in only 14 games. Eric Dickerson passed the milestone in the 15th game of the 1984 season, and every other running back that has done it since did so in the 16th game of the season. o
