INDIANAPOLIS — The Indianapolis Colts today released fullback Roosevelt Nix.

Nix, 5-11, 248 pounds, played in 60 career games (nine starts) in five seasons (2015-19) with the Pittsburgh Steelers and compiled four carries for four yards and one touchdown. He also registered 34 special teams tackles and caught 12 passes for 69 yards and one touchdown.

It is really close.

From reading between the lines, I think that McLaughlin might have a very slight edge as of now.

Reich has recently stated that both kickers are NFL caliber players.

They should have a do or die kicking contest. That way, they can measure who is more clutch when it counts. We want the one who excels under pressure.

If it's truly as even as they say it is, having a "first to miss gets cut" contest would be a great way to see who can handle pressure.
