Glad he is back. This, to me, is a huge signing. Not because Desir is invaluable (he is good but not exceptional) but because of what it says about Ballard. The man tells the truth. He said he wanted Desir. He said he would let him check out free agency to set what he is worth. Then he signed him. Desir may have given us a discount, however it is obvious that he wants to stay where he has had success. This bodes well for us as a team in future negotiations with guys we sign to a show me contract. If they produce, they have a home.
