Default Colts can win out and still miss playoffs

I wasn’t aware of this scenario but it would serve them right for that meltdown last week
Don’t get me wrong, I’m a Colts homer of 50 years strong, I wanna see an extra game no matter the outcome

Buffalo plays N.E. and Miami. Miami will be tough.
Jags play (w/o Lawrence) Carolina and (w/ Lawrence) Tennessee. Tough to find a loss there.
Cincy plays K.C. and Cleveland. A couple chances to lose.

New England might be tough, also ...... they have won 2 out of their last 3 games, with both wins coming against teams fighting for a playoff berth (the Steelers, and the Broncos.)

One can hope, but NE is trash, and those two teams they beat are in a freefall right now.

I hope I'm wrong, but I think we lose the next two...this is not a good football team!

Due to the ups and downs of the NFL (1 team coming off a big loss and 1 team coming off a big win), I see the Raiders getting their asses kicked Sunday.

And KC beats Cinny.

Actually, I look at the bigger picture ...... if the Colts win their final 2 games to finish the season at 10-7 overall and miss the playoffs, that would far exceed the expectations of most Colts fans prior to the start of the season, ESPECIALLY considering the fact that Anthony Richardson missed almost the entire season due to injury. Gardner Minshew has been an adequate back-up, but he has not been the kind of QB that a team can count on to perhaps bail them out of an otherwise bad game by the rest of the team to steal a win.

One of the Colts' wins came against the team with the best record in the NFL (the Ravens), and they were flat-out robbed of another win against another very good team (the Browns) ...... so while I was extremely frustrated at their losses to the Bengals and the Falcons down the home-stretch, I won't necessarily be thinking that it served them right to miss out on the post-season if they do wind up going 10-7 overall.

That's not a prediction ...... that's an "IF" they win their last 2 games to finish at 10-7 overall ...... and right now, that's a very big "IF."

To be fair even if we lose out and finish 8-9 we will have exceeded expectations.

So as of now, the Steelers won, and the Bengals are on the ropes. If the Bengals do win, the Colts would get knocked out if both the Bengals and Ravens won (ie the Steelers would lose) regardless of a Colts victory.

But hopefully Kansas City can just put them out here and the Colts control their own destiny.
