Jones is the "safe bet", because with him you're going to get 7-10 wins. AR is the boom or bust play. Either he fails and the Colts get a top 5 pick, or he succeeds and the Colts compete for a championship.

He had colossal fails in both preseason games, let’s be honest when he misread the coverage and dam near got his head took off the competition was over. That was against a backup defense.
Using this philosophy it was more likely gonna bust. I’d rather have the “safe guy” that can move the chains and have established clock controlling drives than the guy that goes 3 and out if he doesn’t complete a Deep bomb or turn the ball over
