Someone told me that NFL Twitter said Brady is to announce retirement this week. I find it odd that I have seen nothing anywhere, but it was a Patriots fan who was about to cry about it.

That asshat isn't going to retire unless he gets broken in half. Solder leaving may help expedite the process.
