Yes, Duggan played his heart out, I will be anxious to see how he does against Michigan, but yes, I was very impressed and a guy with that kind of competitiveness could make any team better. I like O'Connell, and if the Colts go LT with the first pick he might be there for the second?
I think O'Connell is a year late. Last year, he was one of the most accurate guys in college football. This year, he threw a lot of passes to the wrong team. But I also thought Orton would never make it to the NFL, and he started for a few teams in his career.

OConnell has the best completion % for PU, for a career. He is second in 300 yd, 400 yd, and 500 yd games for Purdue. Some guy named Brees is first in those records.
If you can find the Mich/Purdue game out there, he was the reason Purdue was as close in terms of points
The Cowboys just scored again.

Richardson just declared. I'm taking him over Stroud, Young, Levis.
Ideal, no, but he is big, strong arm, and most critical- he is mobile.
Comparisons; Cam, Dak, and Josh Allen.
If the floor is Cam, and the ceiling Allen, then that sounds about like Dak, which is fine with me. Dak isn't going to have 17 great games in a season, but he's going to have 12 solid games, 3 incredible games, and a couple crappers. I can live with that.
With what we've seen from this line and the rebuild that's going to need to happen, that ability to manufacture yards with the feet will be critical in the next 2-3 years.

He is a project, no thanks. Sophomore with tendency to fold in a big game. If he was a senior with a little more experience I would be all for it. He is by far the best athlete of any of the QB's this draft

We need a crystal ball, because you know one of the guys, is going to be great, no way they are all busts or just average...at least one will be exceptional, but which one? Colts should have a chance for one of them!

Actually, the referees reviewed it and the runner was ruled to be down at the one-yardline ...... it's still 54-19.

Mayfield? Mayfield? I want the next Colts QB to be an effective scrambler.

Scrambler? Need a track star

Drew Brees was not a first round draft pick. The Chargers couldnt figure out what to do with him. How did it work for the Team that figured out how to use a guy who is very accurate.
O’Connell is Jim Harbaugh with accuracy. He is tough, he can take a hit. He is mentally tough. See the IU game.
He is 2 years older than most rookies and has never been the first choice, but when he got a chance he showed he could play.
Where ever he goes, I will root for him. He may not be the best athlete, he is a ballplayer

Don't tell me about toughness and stats. Tell me about trait, athleticsm, arm, anticipation, about what he does well.
In short give me a reason that I won't waste my time watching tape on the kid.

Ok
1. Accurate. Excellent accuracy and can throw guys open.
2. Can throw on the run
3. Mentally tough. Found out brother died Friday, beat IU on Saturday
4. Excellent leadership
He rises to the occation , doesnt play down to weak opposition.

Aidan is not a first round draft choice. Would I draft him though? Yes.
I don't agree he throws people open. He is accurate. He is accurate rolling out. His arm is adequate. He is as tough as a back alley brawler, mentally and physically. When he misses he tends to miss high. In the NFL a miss high usually ends in a tip, and a pick. His field vision is average. He has the attributes to be a good QB in the NFL. Not sure he would ever be elite, but we don't need elite. Above average works for the way this team has been constructed the last few years, and the philosophy we are building on now.

Two best games and two worst games?
He threw for over 500 yards against Michigan-State last year.
He also threw for over 500 against Tennessee
Horrible game against Iowa a month or so ago
Wisconsin had him puzzled and confused as well
