Us win-starved Colts fans will take a l W, l regardless of how ugly or pretty it is ...... I was thrilled when we beat the Broncos in overtime by a score of 12-9, which (at that time) took our season off of life-support and put it in critical-but-stable condition.

I'm sure that somebody here has already pointed it out, but it's ironic that one of the greatest offensive linemen in Colts franchise history takes over a team that is currently performing as the worst offensive line out of all 32 teams in the NFL.

I don't think it is a great QB year to tank anyway. We could get a guy in the 2nd and I think he will have just as good a shot to develop as the guys at the top. Its a better class than last year, but not good enough to tank.

Fans always do that shit. Think the backup is better. We have a dumb fanbase too I think. Everyone on twitter thinks we have to tank and that will automatically give us the next Peyton. Picking QB's is a minefield. There are five bad ones for every good, and probably 20 for every franchise QB. Some teams go decades between franchise QB's. It's not that I thought he was the answer of anything, just the best hope with how the line was performing. Ryan had no hope at all back there with all the pressure.

Granted, the Raiders aren't the Titans or the Pats or a team with a great pass rush or anything, but they look a hell of a lot better today. The genius that is Jeff Saturday correctly identified that Pryor fucking sucks and actually did something about it.

The potential redemption of Matt Ryan, after lots of scathing reviews/judgements for his play this season prior to his injury ....... frankly, considering how awful the offensive line had been this year with the exception of one game, I think that Ryan did a pretty good job overall of finding a way to not lose 4 games (3 wins and a tie) with an offensive line that was playing like that of a Division I-AA college team.

Gotta stop with the turnovers. I would make the whole offense run laps for every turnover.

Ballard said we've had 9 turnovers inside the opponents 38 or something before this game.

Matt Ryan is 11-for-14 with 0 INT's and 0 fumbles so far today ...... with an offensive line that is actually playing a relatively solid game.

Give a quarterback some blocking ...... even just average blocking ...... and you'll have more an objective view of how he plays when the defensive front-7 isn't living in his backfield less than 2 seconds after the ball is snapped.

No way save, the last TO for the kick in case something happens and you can't stop the clock. He was clearly just playing for FG range..

What would you have done differently?

I would have rather saved the time and called the timeout at 22 seconds. They burned a lot of time and had to rush into a real bad play. That said, Saturday had a plan to get closer to a FG and it worked, so it's hard to complain or find much fault there.

To me with 22 seconds you still have plenty of time to setup a better play for 2nd and 3. With a pass you either get the first down and can spike it, or you can try another pass on 3rd.

That said, I do get there could be a sack on 3rd down or whatever, and this did end up in a successful field goal, so, uh, I take back the "terrible" part even if I would have done something differently. Glad it worked out.

Saturday was absolutely masterful in the final minute of the 1st half just now ...... he called a time-out IMMEDIATELY when the Raiders were tacked in-bounds when they were inside the Colts' 10-yardline, and he called another timeout IMMEDIATELY after Matt Ryan made a long completion over the middle shortly after that.

On both the offensive coordinator and Ryan ...... on the OC for making that call in the first place, and on Ryan for not improvising well enough in the 2nd place.
