Being the best QB in the game doesn't come close to guaranteeing post season success, it does guarantee you will be in the hunt for the post season. Having the best team is what counts in post season. Manning was able to cover for a ton of holes the colts had in regular season. In post season, when you are playing motivated teams with better talent, he couldn't pull it off as easily. Nobody can.
