[Colts And Orioles]

o

(vs. CHIEFS, 9/20)

There were multiple occasions in which Jones had a fierce Chiefs pass-rush in his face, almost immediately after the ball was snapped ...... and several times, Jones completes clutch passes in spite of the intense pressure.

Unfortunately, on one of these occasions, he was able to come through ...... very late in the 4th quarter with the score tied at 27, the Colts had the ball at midfield ...... one more 1st down would have put them in position for a potential game-winning field goal from Spencer Shrader......on 2nd-and-4, Jones had a Chiefs pass-rushed in his face. This time he was unable to hit an open Tyler Warren, which would have resulted in a 1st down and a very high likelihood of Shrader kicking a walk-off FG.

In all, I liked what I saw from Jones yesterday, specifically his ability to complete passes in the face of intense pressure from the pass-rush ...... he may have been robbed of a chance to win the game in overtime by his head coach's inexplicable play-calls immediately following the completion of a 48-yard bomb which put the Colts deep in Chiefs territory.
