There were quite a few good throws downfield by Minshew. Refs just completely fucked the Colts in this game.

The game at the Cheats last year where he gave up like 8 sacks was worse. Today was definitely his worst game this season, where otherwise he's had a good year.

They fucked us on the phantom Nelson hold, but otherwise it was us shooting ourselves in the foot: Bryan's penalty on the FG, Gay's missed FG, Speed running into McKenzie that caused the muffed punt. That's 10 points right there.

Edit: We also couldn't defend a screen to save our lives today.

The non-stop penalties on the Bengals second TD drive, the phantom hold, pretty sure Speed was pushed into McKenzie, that would be fair catch interference, the no call on the block in the back on the first TD...only the Browns game was worse on fuck over calls against the Colts.

The Eagles look as bad as the Colts did today, albeit against a team (the Cowboys) that is better than the Bengals.

The Eagles' offense kicked 2 field goals against the Cowboys tonight ...... their defense scored more points (7) than did their offense in a 33-13 trampling.

I think it’s pretty clear that, while the games aren’t necessarily faked, the officials do try to steer things in certain ways.

I don’t ever remember officiating having such a huge effect on the outcomes of so many games. And in the NFL, nothing ever happens without the league’s approval.

They want maximum drama and I’ve come to believe they “encourage” the officials to officiate in such a way as to make that happen.

The officiating has been terrible this year, no doubt about it, but the irony today is that the big story is about a call the refs got right.

The Chiefs whining about Toney being offsides (that he didn't get a warning) is just helping the refs today despite how terrible they've been across the board.
