Good for him. I hope it works out. I also hope the Panthers like the bend but don't break let teams run all over you philosophy

The bend/don't break defense started at the top, with Dungy's philosophy and Polian's staffing of players who fit that philosophy (small, quick D- linemen, zone type corners versus shut-down corners, etc.). He wasn't in a position to blitz more if Tony Dungy didn't want him to. Meeks may do just fine with different players and a different scheme. I also don't think the Panthers will be trading away Julius Peppers for a smaller, quicker DE any time soon.

I wish we still had Ron , he was a good guy and a great coach...

He made chicken salad out of chicken chit....

I love cover 2, it is a great philosophy! I hope we don't change too much....

Well goobye, Julius Peppers. He has said he wants out of Carolina and the only thing that might have kept him in Charlotte was a change to a 3-4 D. He seems to think he is better suited for the 3-4. That obsviously is not going to happen in Charlotte now.

Will be interesting to see what meeks can do without Dungy

Colts fired one coach & another resigned. Both didn't stay without a job for long. May be like crapy Kravitz said "They fired the wrong coaches"

More likely, they'll give up the most 3rd and long conversions and have the most 8+ minute drives against.
