Colts field inquiries, trade offers for Jonathan Taylor, source
https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/...or-source-says
Heres the link to indy star https://www.indystar.com/story/sport...t/70663453007/ Colts give Jonathan Taylor until Tuesday to find trade per report INDIANAPOLIS — The Colts are reportedly fielding offers for Jonathan Taylor as the deadline they’ve set for the running back to find a trade partner looms next week, according to ESPN’s Stephen Holder. Indianapolis granted Taylor and his agent, Malki Kawa, permission to seek a trade earlier this week. Two teams have made offers and six have shown interest, according to the report, but none have met the Indianapolis demands, reportedly a first-round pick or a package of picks equivalent to that value. The Miami Herald reported Wednesday that the Dolphins are one of the teams that has discussed a Taylor trade with the Colts. Indianapolis has reportedly told Taylor he must find a deal by next Tuesday, the day NFL teams must reduce their rosters to 53 players by 4 p.m. Taylor has spent training camp on the active/physically unable to perform list due to his recovery from offseason ankle surgery, Colts head coach Shane Steichen has said repeatedly. If Taylor reaches the Tuesday deadline without finding a trade partner, Indianapolis will have to decide whether to move him to reserve/PUP for the start of the regular season. Placing Taylor on reserve/PUP would force him to miss at least the first four weeks. Taylor, who is headed into the final year of his rookie contract, requested a trade at the start of training camp when the Colts made it clear they do not plan to offer him an extension until after the season, even though Indianapolis has signed other drafted stars like Quenton Nelson, Shaquille Leonard, Braden Smith and Nyheim Hines right before the final season of their rookie deals began. Initially, Indianapolis owner Jim Irsay released a statement that the team would not trade Taylor under any circumstances, but the Colts changed those plans earlier this week, allowing the disgruntled running back to try to find a new destination. Just an update from PTF
https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profoo...anapolis-colts When the Colts first gave running back Jonathan Taylor permission to seek a trade, the message seemed to be that the Colts wanted to give Taylor a chance to realize that no one else would give him the contract he wants. So far, that seems to be the case. On Wednesday, Stephen Holder of ESPN.com reported that six teams have called the Colts about Taylor, and that two have made offers. Think about that one for a moment, if you will. There are 31 other teams in the league. And only six of them — less than 20 percent — even picked up the phone and called? Teams call other teams all the time, about any and all possibilities for trades. But with one of the best running backs in football available, only six teams even called the Colts? And only two actually made offers? My first reaction to the reported deadline of Tuesday was that the Colts plan to take the best offer they get by then. After talking it through with Chris Simms on PFT Live this morning, it occurred to me that maybe the deadline comes from the fact that interest has been spotty — and that at some point the experiment needs to end. Again, someone has to give the Colts what they want. Someone has to give Taylor what he wants (unless he’s willing to accept a trade without a new deal in place). And someone has to then justify the move by making Taylor the centerpiece of the office, or something close to it. Maybe it’s just not happening. Thirty-one teams. And only six called? And only two made offers? It doesn’t bode well for the team and the player getting what they want. |

Some talk about Miami and Taylor. I dont suppose the Colts could send him to Edmonton for a zamboni and a bad of driveway salt? |

I'd trade him for a jugs machine and a bag of balls. Just get rid of him.

It's Sunday afternoon now. Two days to go. I'd trade him for the truck and trailer. The gatorade would be a bonus. I don't want him anywhere near the team. Cancerous player.

I won't be bummed. It's not my team, I'm just a fan. I don't like Taylor as a human. If he plays well, great! It helps the team I'm a fan of, hopefully, win games. Taylor himself can eat a bag of dicks.
