I’m sure AR deserves some criticism, but I’m not sure what fans expect. You draft a historically inexperienced player at the toughest position in sports and you bring him into a fucking clown show organization with no direction. I have no idea whether or not AR can be a franchise guy. I see things that give me hope and I see things that give me concern. What I am confident of is that if he’s forced to do it under this regime he will have to do it in spite of them. They have fucked this up about as much as they could.

Unless some great opportunity comes along for a QB, replacing AR without at least another year seems nuts to me.

I doubt his trade value is very high. If he and Steichen can't get on the same page, fire Steichen and bring in someone who can coach him up. So far he hasn't shown he's some great coach in this league. If the new guy can't and AR looks lost next year, fine, look for a replacement then.

Can they sell the team, tear down the stadium, and maybe put up a shopping mall or movie theater?

too small of a sample size. he blew out his shoulder last year. that isn't something you can walk off. this year, if he missed 3 games with all the running he does, I would say that should be expected. he is a physical runner and doesn't have the shiftiness of a guy like Lamar. he is going to get dinged up.

is he a pussy? maybe. I have had back issues so i understand the inability to do things with a fucked up back. could he have played through it? no clue. I don't know and neither do you.

there are plenty of things to criticize him for that we know are issues. I assume if he could play, he would have.

After the AR situation, and the incomprehensible debacle that was yesterday, I don't think there's a single grain of sand level of good to come from retaining Steichen at this point; he clearly is not doing SHIT to make this a better team and who the FUCK knows what is really going down between him and AR.

I would take this approach if I were Jim / the daughters:
- Ballard
- Steichen
- Bradley
- Cross
- Blackmon
- Cox
- Ogletree
- Mitchell (we have a really nice top 3- ditch this fucking ME>WE loser right now to set a HUGE tone with the guys in the locker room!)
- Womack (he has tried, he has done what I think is his best- and that's not good enough- set the tone that we are DONE living with bottom tier talent taking key spots on the team)

All that above are gone next Monday morning!

Make it very clear in the presser- this team is going to change. Make a very clear statement that EVERY player will be reviewed and there are NO sacred cows. Go so far as making a statement that the evaluation of Richardson is incomplete and that is one of the main drivers of Steichen being let go as well (really financially it is at the end of next year they MUST know based on the 5th year option). Also add that the new GM and HC will sit down and evaluate every position on the team and will make all the personnel decisions between the date of hire and the start of next years TC to create a whole new culture on 56th street.

New GM and HC are given complete latitude to review both AR and JT. If they determine they can serve us better by being on different teams that will give us draft picks, then ship them both and just get what you can for both of them. Nobody is going to convince me either of them are franchise players, and we need to fucking develop some franchise level players. You aren't going to do that without extra draft capital.

Commit to going heavy in FA for vets that have played in some challenging circumstances but have shown the grit to persevere. Tell these guys they are there to serve as mentors for the young guys that are going to go through hell rebuilding this shit.

This is what the fans expect! Get rid of the loser mentality, get rid of the acceptance of mediocrity, tell the fans there are major changes in responsibility and expectations that are in place from the end of that presser going forward. We need hope and anything short of the above, will not provide that hope.

Tired of this trash ass half ass approach. Get some real fucking football minds in here and turn this shit around!
cross and Womack have been decent. I would not get rid of them. at the very least they are cheap, decent backups

Your assumption is the main thing I’m criticizing, he’s missed too many games. I’m willing to live with the turnovers and missed throws I expected all that. A 6-4 250 guy that misses games like he’s Austin Collie or Paris Campbell I wasn’t expecting

Cam Newton missed 3 games his first 6 years in the NFL

athletes want to compete. maybe you are right and he is an outlier where he just doesn't give a fuck. those guys are so very rare that, especially at QB, that I don't think he would have just sat out that game.

why would he? the Giants are terrible. what QB wouldn't want to play them. just doesn't make sense and all of this shit is because Steichen and the colts are fucking dumb and don't understand how to deal with injuries.

I would keep Ogletree as well. MOC is almost certainly gone and Ogletree is at least a good cheap blocker. Blow up the rest of the TE room, Woods included.
