Who's going to do the firing? Irsay, Carlie, Ballard, Steichen? Is there leadership from the top? I have no idea who's running this team anymore.

Does anybody care?

Not as much as the fans. And that is another problem. And sad.

Nobody is going to get fired until next week.

Not that I think anyone will get fired next week, but if it's happening that's when it will happen.

That said, something has to happen. Personally if I had some sort of magic wand I'd clean house of Steichen and Ballard and have Irsay step down and let one of his daughters take over the role, but at the very least one needs to go (and frankly, Ballard is probably the first). If not, I'm here with the pitchforks with the rest of you.

Coming out of the Tits game and going into mid last week I would have said the team HAD to shed Ballard and Bradley to switch the culture and actually begin improving vs just idling.

After the AR situation, and the incomprehensible debacle that was yesterday, I don't think there's a single grain of sand level of good to come from retaining Steichen at this point; he clearly is not doing SHIT to make this a better team and who the FUCK knows what is really going down between him and AR.

I would take this approach if I were Jim / the daughters:
- Ballard
- Steichen
- Bradley
- Cross
- Blackmon
- Cox
- Ogletree
- Mitchell (we have a really nice top 3- ditch this fucking ME>WE loser right now to set a HUGE tone with the guys in the locker room!)
- Womack (he has tried, he has done what I think is his best- and that's not good enough- set the tone that we are DONE living with bottom tier talent taking key spots on the team)

All that above are gone next Monday morning!

Make it very clear in the presser- this team is going to change. Make a very clear statement that EVERY player will be reviewed and there are NO sacred cows. Go so far as making a statement that the evaluation of Richardson is incomplete and that is one of the main drivers of Steichen being let go as well (really financially it is at the end of next year they MUST know based on the 5th year option). Also add that the new GM and HC will sit down and evaluate every position on the team and will make all the personnel decisions between the date of hire and the start of next years TC to create a whole new culture on 56th street.

New GM and HC are given complete latitude to review both AR and JT. If they determine they can serve us better by being on different teams that will give us draft picks, then ship them both and just get what you can for both of them. Nobody is going to convince me either of them are franchise players, and we need to fucking develop some franchise level players. You aren't going to do that without extra draft capital.

Commit to going heavy in FA for vets that have played in some challenging circumstances but have shown the grit to persevere. Tell these guys they are there to serve as mentors for the young guys that are going to go through hell rebuilding this shit.

This is what the fans expect! Get rid of the loser mentality, get rid of the acceptance of mediocrity, tell the fans there are major changes in responsibility and expectations that are in place from the end of that presser going forward. We need hope and anything short of the above, will not provide that hope.

Tired of this trash ass half ass approach. Get some real fucking football minds in here and turn this shit around!

"Bum Tendencies!"

Holy Shit- MacAfee just declared that the team has BUM tendencies.

Damn man, if you are a higher up Colts staffer, if you are Jim Irsay, man you cannot look away from this. One of the highest profile players in your team's history, is saying your front office supports the mentality of a bum!

Dude, you gotta take heads off after this, you just have to!

Funny you say that because McAfee just asked the same question to Shefter.

Steichens comments today were pretty revealing. He said AR was suffering from severe back spasms and legitimately was unable to play.

When asked why he characterized it as “soreness”, he gave some bs answer about wanting to keep injury stuff in house. Then he admitted he shouldn’t have used “soreness” to describe it.

I’m not sure exactly what’s happening in that building but I fear the level of dysfunction is higher than we thought.

I think it’s pretty clear that Steichen and AR don’t have the best relationship. They sure as hell don’t now if they did before.

That’s some total bullshit from Steichen and if I were AR, I’d be livid.

I think AR is about 20th on the list of problems that franchise has.

There’s a whole helluva lot of guys I’d replace before I replace AR. That includes players and management.

I don't think Jim even knows where he shit last & there have been reports in the past that the daughters Irsay like Ballard. I think this franchise is in real trouble & they are just going to run it back in 2025.
