I don't see what the deal is with this. He is only a few short years from retiring, and we are on the verge of our younger guys becoming studs. I'd prefer to go with a younger FA, or draft one.

Yeah I don't think there is any way they would be content with a guy who admits to only wanting to play for 1 or 2 more years. Ballard would still look to address the position in some way for the future.

Never liked Rivers but if he comes here for a couple of years it is because he thinks he can win a Super Bowl, which I like. If he has anything left it makes some sense.

Bringing a washed up Rivers here just reeks of desperation. I'm against it, and will never be a crybaby Rivers fan even if he comes. I just can't do it. I still don't like the Chargers either
