Projection of 53 man roster....
From Stampede Blue (locate here):
Offense = 24 players QB: 2 - Andrew Luck, Jacoby Brissett RB: 4 - Marlon Mack, Robert Turbin, Nyheim Hines, Jordan Wilkins TE: 4 - Jack Doyle, Eric Ebron, Erik Swoope, Ross Travis WR: 6 - T.Y. Hilton, Chester Rogers, Ryan Grant, Daurice Fountain, Deon Cain, Krishawn Hogan OT: 3 - Anthony Castonzo, Denzelle Good, Joe Haeg OG: 3 - Quenton Nelson, Braden Smith, Jack Mewhort OC: 2 - Ryan Kelley, Matt Slauson Defense = 26 players DT: 4 - Hassan Ridgeway, Margus Hunt, Al Woods, Grover Stewart DE: 6 - Jabaal Stewart, John Simon, Terell Basham, darnell Autry, Tyquan Lewis, Kemoko Turay LB: 6 - Najee Goode, Anthony Walker, Darius Leonard, Zaire Franklin, Matthew Adams, Jeremiah George CB: 6 - Quincy Wilson, Nate Hairston, Pierre Desir, D.J. White, Kenneth Aker, Henre Toliver S: 4 - Malik Hooker, Clayton Geathers, Matthias Farley, Rondal Martin Special Teams = 3 players: Adam Vinatieri, Rigoberto Sanchez, Luke Rhodes ======== I differ from the above projecte 53 man only by a few spots: TE: I disagree on keeping Ross Travis over Darrell Daniels. Travis is much more of dynamic pass catcher but they already have 2 of those in Ebron and Swoope. With the talent now at RB and WR, I think they will prefer to have more of an in-line bocker option to backup Doyle in that role in Daniels over the pass catching Travis. O-Line: Only keeping 8 O-linemen on the active roster with our injury history at O-Line seems fraught with peril. Granted, the 9th O-Lineman whom I would keep would be Le'Raven Clark whom has not covered himself with glory but keeping a Deyshawn Bond or Clark might end up allowing for better injury management. DT: Margus Hunt over Caraun Reid seems a stretch. Hunt failed as a 1-gap DE for the Bengals in his 1st four years in the league and I don't know that I see him being effective in the mix-n-match D-front of the Colts 4-3. CB: Kenny Moore II not on the list seems interesting. Did the writer just miss his contributions last season or discount them? I think he makes the team. S: Ronald Martin over T.J. Green seems wierd. For a GM & HC whom continue to beat the drum for athleticism and speed, Green has both of those in spades. Martin's pro day 40 times were 4.63 and 4.65. Green's combine 40 time was 4.34. Otherwise, I thinkthat list looks pretty close not counting potential cap cut veteran signings later in the pre-season. Walk Worthy,

They should try TJ Green at water boy. Maybe they are afraid he would whiff when trying to grab the gatorade bottles to take to the field.

If they keep green, I imagine it will be potential based and not because he won the job

He has been nothing but potential so far, so I am sure you are correct. Maybe a new staff can do something with him, that would be just super.

I don't think we will keep 6 WR's, I think we will have 3 QB's instead, at least until they feel the O-line has been solidified enough to protect Luck.

But a QB3 on the roster will not happen, I don't think. In both 2016 and 2017, the Eagles carried 2 QBs on their active roster and 1 on their practice squad. I expect the same to happen with Indy going forward. Walk Worthy,

Disagree here. If he stays on the roster, it's because he has value on special teams. That's what you're looking for in your 4th safety. I don't think Ballard truthfully gives two shits that he was a former 2nd round pick.

I don’t think he cares about that either. I think he sees great measurables and gives him a chance. Green has never been good on special teams.

They probably picked Ross Travis over Darrell Daniels because Reich's offense uses flex TEs primarily. Expect the receiving TE to be back in Indy. Jack Doyle is likely to be as much of a blocking TE as we'll see on the Colts roster for some time.

Omaha's favorite TE is now on the market again.
