Adam Vinatieri to Eric Ebron: “That was one of the top 25 catches I’ve seen” on his TD.
Ebron responded: “That means a lot since you’ve been playing 85 years:”

Damn son, I hope it was the Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders you had over. Otherwise, no excuse for getting distracted from Colts football

Houston has one of the best run d’s in the league. With Clowney gone they are better. We weren’t going to run on them today. We needed to pass to win. Still Mack was a few shoe strings away from breaking one. I like Mack but just don’t think he is elite, wonder what a elite back would do behind this line.
Jacoby looked pretty good, sans that bad fumble. His underneath game needs a little more work though, some more touch on those short throws. Big armed QBs often have that issue. RBs aren’t going to catch missiles. I also want him to speed up his reads. Still he is safe with the ball and makes decent decisions. I wonder what he will look like next year. Will he progress? Still a good day and what he needed. We need to find a second receiver to our next to TY. TY is nearing the end of his career and never really had a running mate except for Reggie for a bit. I wonder how Funchess will look when he gets back. This team beat a good Houston team. I think they are a better team than last year. It was a good solid win. |

Kinda shocked to see we had zero rushing 1st downs. I know we never got our running game going but still...

Their secondary was highly depleted and their front 7 is incredibly stout. I was actually impressed with the offense's ability to completely adapt and attack the opposing defense's weakness, which they also did against Kansas City.

Good win.
JB did well overall. Needs to work on hitting receivers in stride better. Nice game by paschal. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

This was one of the most impressive things to me. And one of the most encouraging. They didn’t figure it out after they went 3 and out 5 times trying to force the run and got behind because of it. They came out attacking the known weakness of the defense. The “do what we do” philosophy would have dictated they force the run - especially since it worked so well in the big win the previous game. That they adapted to the opponent is the sign of good coaching.

Look at the first drive: 12 playsHouston dared us to pass the ball and we executed. I'm surprised that we didn't get more rushing In the second half, but it seemed like Houston stuck with their plan and kept stacking the box instead of adjusting. Classic Pagano.
