Top 40
Pretty amazing that this team is 9-4 without having a receiver in the top 40 in receiving yards. TY is at #45 currently.

I mentioned in the Philip Rivers thread that he seems to be spreading the passes around to a lot of different receivers, and that's probably a good thing ...... it may not be conducive to getting Colts receivers to named to the Pro Bowl, but it is certainly indicative of a team which has everybody chipping for the common cause (winning games.) It is somewhat reminiscent of Bill Belichick's philosophy of not having any "Eat, watch the game, and collect a paycheck" players on his roster. In perhaps the team's finest and most impressive overall game of the season against the Packers last month, Rivers doled the ball out to 11 different receivers. Quote:

Looking at the receivers available to a new QB, its amazing what they have done. No knock on TY, I think he has been improving all season to where he is now. The rookie has promise and Pascal has been steasdy, and the TEs show up from time to time. Rivers has made the best of a odd situation, with little preseason or a normal camp.
I dont know when it will ever be normal, but I do believe if Rivers and the entire receiving corp has time and no quarantines, this offense could be a weekly bitch to play. |
