This......has got to burn.......
From NFL.com, their ranking of Week 1 starting NFL QBs:

That.....has got to burn Irsay like nothing else. I know that he is only a "backup" but there are some pretty bad NFL QBs on that list. I don't know that Brissett would rank any higher if he were the Week 1 starter but.....man..... Walk Worthy,

Not surprised at all, just adds to how this team has been so mis-managed.

When your so far under the cap like the Colts are it's inexcusable to roll with garbage behind Luck. There are always decent backups available in the offseason, yet they continue to pick guys who seem to be good thinkers at QB instead of guys who can actually come in and do something when the need arises.

I hate Tolzien from his 2017 performance but I think just about everyone was pretty comfortable with him prior to about a month ago. Walk Worthy,

We should've just kept Josh Freeman. Or we should just re-sign him, he's still a FA. He looked better than any other backup QB we've had during the Luck era. Including Hasslebeck.

I'm not surprised. Tolzien stinks.

To answer the original question--Connor Cook or Drew Stanton would be the first two, but I doubt Arians would part with Stanton. Beyond that, I haven't followed who was cut or who is hidden on a practice squad that showed flashes. |

This rebuild was supposed to be designed to prevent something like 2011 from happening again, and yet here we are
