Default Done Deal: Colts Trade for Wentz

Rcubed mentioned it in the other thread, but this deserves a new thread.

Philadelphia has agreed to trade Carson Wentz to the Indianapolis Colts in exchange for a 2021 third-round pick and a conditional 2022 second-round pick that could turn into a first, league sources tell @mortreport and me

If Carson Wentz’s playtime is at or above 75% next season, the conditional 2022 second-round pick would become a first-round pick, per sources. The second-round pick also.could become a first if Wentz plays at least 70 percent of the plays and the Colts go to the playoffs.

Not a bad trade, if it works out.

Will it turn into a 7th if he gets hurt in route to Indy?

At least I would think he's coming in with some to prove.

I’m not sold on it. He was so mentally jerked around in Philly that he might not be fixable

Schefter has confirmed:

Wow - really surprised they paid this much for Wentz given the circumstances. Shows you how much I know. They must REALLY think that his problems were with Philly and not personal. Given the Ballard/Reich track record on talent evaluation (not perfect, but pretty damn good) I'm pretty excited about this.

I’m not sold on Wentz, but the trade itself is pretty solid. It escalates if Wentz stays healthy.

The best thing is, I don't have to read anymore about Dammy praising the greatness of Mac Jones.

Yeah, but he's been praising Wentz more. In the other thread he compared Wentz to both Deshaun Watson and Peyton, lol.

Hahaha I heard a comparison of Jones to Chad Pennington pre-injury. And I kinda like that comparison.
