He doesn't play special teams, that's why Jackson is the third active RB, as the Colts have stated.

JT had a total of 25 yards in the 1st half on 8 carries. Yea. maybe you could say give him more touches. But he wasn't doing anything at all.

But of that 25 yards. One was a 12 yard carry So other than that he had carries of

0
4
-2
0
5
(12 yds here)
5
1

Zero TD's and Carson Wentz was HOT. Scored 24 points in the 1st half passing the ball He was finding the seams and making plays. While the Bucs had the answer for the run they did not have an answer for the passing game.

Mistakes turned the game around. Pascal fumble, the strip sack and the muffed punt were killers. Bucs scored 24 points off of TO's on short fields I believe. Other than that the Colts D held them pretty well.

Had we gotten the lead and ran JT play after play and went 3 and out over and over many of you would be saying Reich is too conservative and doesn't know how put his foot on their throats. I remember this from the other game threads.People were calling him too conservative.

Should they have used JT more. Probably, But if you were going off the way the game was playing out in the 1st half you had to see being aggressive with a passing game that was working against a very good TB team was the way to go.

Even though the JT had a great series in the 4th Qtr was no reason to go away from what was working.

5 turnovers lost this game. Not the play calling

The problem is that we've now lost 3 games where we had a double digit lead, and in all 3 of those games our best player was underutilized. Reich needs to figure out how to get JT more touches on days like today, b/c Wentz isn't capable of carrying the load by himself for an entire game against good teams.

For the season I agree JT is our best player on offense. Today our best player on offense was Carson Wentz. Wentz got it going. JT did not The Bucs were going to throw everything at stopping JT. and they did.

Their secondary was hobbled.

Next Gen stat of the game:Jonathan Taylor earned -4 rushing yards over expected in the first three quarters (+28 in fourth quarter). Five rushes for 4 yards versus seven-plus defenders in the box in the first three quarters (seven rushes, 53 yards, TD in fourth quarter).

Should’ve went into the 4th quarter trying to ice away a lead, I love my chances with JT in that situation unfortunately they were still in it because of turnovers, goddam I thought Rodgers was gone on that kick return

So the thing that really worked for the Bucs was putting 5 and 6 on the line and loading the box and if it was a run they could generate even more pass rush with those extra bodies.

They have a great D

While Wentz was really good in the first half he was bad in the 2nd: 11/20 for 109, 2 ints, and 2 fumbles (1 lost). Like I said, he's not capable of carrying the team by himself against a good opponent. By far his best series in the 2nd half was when we (surprise) started running the ball again.

Agree that the running game wasn't going early on, but it did start to get some momentum going in the 2nd quarter before Reich decided to pull the plug on it for the game.

Either way, throwing the ball 26 straight times isn't a good idea for the Colts. Especially after they've turned it over a couple of times during that streak.

Not so sure it is him. Wentz may be changing the plays due to what the defense is showing.

Think rationally about this.

Frank needs to not get enamored with throwing the ball and run the offense through Taylor. Oh, and the Colts need to stop turning the damn ball over.

THAT’S why they lost today.
Without the turnovers, we may have scored 50+.

I don't even have a huge issue with having more pass plays than run plays, but at one point in the 3rd it was nothing but pass plays. Nothing. Like 20 or something plays in a row. A blind man could see what the Colts were going to do, and it put the Bucs in position to play pass defense and get turnovers with it.

Granted, I'm not a football expert, but usually a mix of run/pass works best just to keep the defense a bit on their toes.
