Default Deon Cain

Ooof, This is a bit rough.

We had a bit of a laugh last year calling Deon Cain the second coming of Jerry Rice while he was in IR after a good camp.

Yesterday: 57 snaps, 5 targets, 0 catches, 0 yards
Season: 100 snaps, 16 targets, 3 catches, 45 yards

His most productive play was drawing pass interference that one time.

Too high of expectations for sure. I'm guilty of it.

We need to realize that he's basically a rookie, one coming off a major injury. It took Reggie a couple of years. People were calling him a bust. Let's reset the hype and expectations and let him learn, then we can judge.

That’s fine but he still sucks until he is good. Like a dude learning how to play drums. Just because he sucks to start, doesn’t mean he won’t be good. But right now he sucks

Just because he sucks to start, also doesn’t mean he won’t always suck.

We wouldn’t have even noticed his lack of production if Hilton and Funchess had remained healthy. He was forced into heavier snaps too soon. He may still develop into something, but he was always going to be a project in 2019.
