he blew an ACL. He might be ok to play, but he won't see his old speed until next year

Disappointing outcome to be sure but I still think the roster is heading in the right direction. One more solid draft and some liberal spending in free agency next year and this ship could be righted.

Maybe, and I doubt Ballard is thrilled. With all the injuries I can understand why they risked him to waivers.

Why is that a big deal? It's not like you lost money. Third rounders fail often. That's why they get taken in the third round.

Why do you defend everything? Missing on a 3rd round pick is terrible. Sure it happens but it is never ok

It's a big deal because my team spent a 3rd on him and got no return on investment. 3rd rounders do fail, but they don't usually fail this badly. 3rd rounders are valuable, any pick in the top 100 is valuable.

I do also, and last years class isn't done yet. I'm still hoping Wilson and Mack will start contributing soon. Stewert has been playing well, Walker fits this defense well and I think he is back to his playing weight he was at his junior year. That was the year he was stellar and predicted to be a top 60 pick. And of course Hairston has been great.
