Once he sees the fines he'll be back on the sidelines

What if he would legitimately rather retire than play another down for the Texans? It happened before when Carson Palmer did it to Cincinnati. They can't fine him if he's retired. The Texans would be smart to trade him now before they lose all their leverage. Of course, as a Colts fan, I'm glad to see that they are yet again making the stupid decision. I hope they end up trading him for less than what the Bengals got for Palmer after they stare him down and are forced to blink first.

I think his best play going forward is to just take it easy for a couple of years and see what Houston does. Sit out for the smallest injury, wait for his contract year, and then put everything he has back into it to try and win another contract with another team. Perhaps by that point Cal McNair will accept his incompetence (or perhaps become competent), Houston will be in a better place, and he will choose to stay. |

Sure, he can be back on the sidelines, but if he's unhappy and creates problems, then what good does that do? If you can get 3 first round picks for him and maybe another qb, then do it. They already ruined the franchise, might as well rebuild.

Brett Kollman examines wentz From just looking at lowlights. My sense is Wentz has little feel for pressure when looking downfield. He has good escapability. But he also gets tackled and fumbles when he does. Also he goes to his first read too much especially when covered. If he goes through his progressions, he has other receivers wide open. Could check down more. His deep ball is not very accurate. Reich says he values decision making and accuracy, but I’m not seeing it here. Last edited by Chromeburn; 02-09-2021 at 03:03 PM. |

That is a damn depressing video for anyone hoping to have Wentz as our QB. He has a ton of issues to fix. You wonder how his head is after a year like that. Any confidence he has would seem delusional. None of this is news to Ballard and Reich. You would have to have a lot of confidence in your staffs ability to work with the guy to bring him on. Will be interesting. It is hard to see how Philadelphia gets anything near what they are asking.
