Default Week 3 Injury Reports

Quote:
No walkthrough, no practice today for Colts QB Carson Wentz.

The swelling was significant the last two days, so Colts will monitor day by day, Frank Reich says.

Frank Reich said Wentz feels better today than he did yesterday, but the Colts will continue to monitor . . . .

Quote:
Reich says they have to approach things as if Wentz won’t be ready for Sunday.

And hope to be surprised if he can go.

Not committing to Jacob Eason starting/Brett Hundley backing up, if Wentz can’t go.

RT Braden Smith has a strain in his foot

Colts OC Marcus Brady said the team didn't know until they arrived at the stadium on Sunday that WR Parris Campbell (abdomen) wouldn't be able to play. Brady hinted that Campbell is "close" to getting back on the field soon, would seem this week.

At this point, just concentrate on getting him ready for Miami.

As badly as we need Wentz to win this game to get our first W of the season, I hope that they just keep him out uniform and let him heal completely ....... and have a long talk with him about self-preservation as an NFL quarterback (although it's not entirely his fault, as the Colts' offensive line has been sub-par so far this season.)

More than a month ago, Jim Irsay said that he didn't want Wentz on the field unless he was at 100% health-wise in relation to him being rushed back too soon after his foot surgery ...... I hope that Jim (and the entire Colts coaching staff) feels the same way about Wentz' latest injuries.

On top of that, a moderate High ankle sprain and be rolled again, even taped up, and become a severe one, that would keep him out 4-6 weeks.

Let him heal up...

Colts practice squad QB Brett Hundley took the majority of starter reps in practice Wednesday, and he and Jacob Eason may both play against the Titans if Carson Wentz is out, per sources.

There’s still hope Wentz can play. Final decision may not come until Sunday.

This team is toast, going on year 5 of Ballards plan on building thru the draft, and this team is still not a contender!! when free agency starts this year maybe, just maybe Ballard might sign a difference maker.
