It will be fine. If the NFL can get through the season without covid closing the stadiums and disrupting game schedules, the cap will go up.
Its all monopoly money, some one will get cut to keep the stars |

Smith deserves to get good starter money but in no way does he deserve to be the highest paid RT, that won't happen. $15-18m per year will be it

If he hits free agency, he will get more than that.

He deserves whatever he gets. He didn't give up a sack all year and I think he gave up only one hit on the qb all year. He is a mauler on run blocking. If he continues on this trajectory he will be a bargain whatever he gets. Guys this good are rare, we should appreciate how good he is. He doesn't sniff free agency.

I expect we will be spending 60 million or more a year on oline. I think Nelson will get left tackle money and he might be the highest paid lineman in the league.
He was voted to a third all pro team in his first three years. Only Barry Sanders has done that. He was named one of the top 5 players in the entire NFL and the top offensive lineman by PFF. It’s going to be a big contract. Last edited by Chromeburn; 07-11-2021 at 10:44 AM. |
