Default Week 5 Injury Reports

A few LB'ers returned to practice today while yet another was nursing an injury.

Both Bobby Okereke (thumb) and EJ Speed (elbow) were full participants today. Okereke had a cast / wrap on his hand protecting his thumb.

Darius Leonard (groin) did not practice with the team but did some light individual workouts on a side field.

Anthony Walker did not practice today with an ankle injury.

Anthony Castonzo (rib) did not practice today either.

Kemoko Turay has been seen completing individual workouts this week. He cannot resume team practices until after Week 6 at the earliest.

Hate to not have Leonard on the field against the Browns running game... But if Castonzo ends up out I may need change my prediction. Myles Garrett will have a field day against a sub-par left tackle.

Castonzo and the Maniac ruled OUT for Sunday's game.

Anthony Walker is Questionable and they will determine his status this weekend.

News: Colts LT Anthony Castonzo officially ruled OUT for Sunday's game vs. Browns. Le'Raven Clark will start in his stead.

Same with LB Darius Leonard.

Colts will be without two of their very best players.

Frank Reich on Anthony Castonzo's rib injury: "We're being safe ... You know how a rib . . injury . . is. You just want to get settled down. Hopefully though, once it's healed, it's healed."

With Castonzo out, the Colts' streak of 20 straight regular season games w/ the same five on the offensive line (the longest active streak in the NFL) is snapped.

Unit has allowed 54 sacks since the 2018 season, the second-fewest in football behind the Saints.

Frank Reich: "The times Darius hasn't played, A Walk (LB Anthony Walker) has come up huge. Huge."

Walker will be questionable Sunday (ankle), but saw some good work today and the Colts are encouraged. Final determination will come tomorrow.

Ah, no Scotty.

Castonzo does need reps. He needs to let that rib heal and put on a flake vest. Put Cox over there and tell him if he doesnt try to knock Garrett on his dick every play before running a route he will be cut.

I’m 99% not worried about Clark playing LT. I’m a little worried about the LB situation though.

This is a loss I fear. Lose 1 of those 2 and it may be doable. But not both.

Where I don't like the loss of Leonard is in the passing game. Walker showed he could clean up the trash Buckner creates at the LOS against the Bears (which is why him also being questionable is bad), but I think Leonard being out forces the Colts into more nickel and big nickel packages, unless they trust Okereke to run with and effectively cover TEs and slot receivers.

I think the Castanzo loss hurts a lot more. AC probably would've struggled against Garrett, now the Colts will need to double him on every play.
