The Colts lock up another member of their 2018 draft class. Hines signs a 3 year contract extension with the Colts.

The Colts and RB Nyheim Hines have agreed to a 3-year, $18.6M extension with $12M guaranteed, his agents Ed Wasielewski and Jeremy Appledorf tell ESPN.

The $6.2M/year in new money per year makes Hines one of the top 10 highest-paid RBs in the league and ties him to Indy through 2024.

The $6.2M per year makes Nyheim Hines the highest-paid non-lead back in the NFL.

He led the Colts in receptions last year with 63 and has 170 since entering the NFL in 2018.

Hines has averaged 14.9 yards per punt return, best in NFL history. Versatile, dynamic player in Indy.

Great deal for Hines AND the Colts. Hines gets significant guaranteed $ in a brutal market for RBs.

Colts get to keep one of the best pass-catching RBs in the NFL, who also happens to be a locker room leader and a valuable ST contributor, in the fold for another few years.
