The Colts will split the starter reps between QB Jacob Eason and QB Sam Ehlinger the rest of the week, including two joint practices Thursday and Friday with the Panthers. Eason all but assuredly starts Sunday’s first preseason game.

Frank Reich on the Colts QB situation: "Really, that wasn’t Jacob (Eason) doing anything wrong. This is a meritocracy, and Sam's looked good, so we decided to split it up. The good news is they both looked sharp today ... we’ll continue to split those reps up."

From what I heard: No, it's not insignificant that Carson Wentz and Quenton Nelson were already back at practice today (no boots, no wraps) just a week after both had foot surgery. Still a ways to go, but team likes where both player is at.
