I have a hard time seeing Rivers resigning to be a bridge QB. Especially if they use their 1st rounder on a QB. Stranger things have happened, but he doesn’t seem like the mentoring type. And even if he wasn’t asked to mentor, I don’t think them “wasting” a valuable pick on his replacement would sit well with him. I could see them keeping him and not picking a QB or maybe using a mid round pick on one I guess.

I've got a feeling the Chargers will be drafting Herbert.

Dan Patrick said a source told him keep an eye on Colts as a landing spot for rivers, a lot of connections with sirianni and Reich

During my softball playing days, there was this guy on another team in the league that I couldn't stand. When at bat, he would step out after each pitch adjust his fuckin' batting gloves spend half a minute looking at his bat and then step in again. He did that after every pitch and everyone on my team couldn't stand him, he pissed us all off. Then, one year, he joined our team and pissed off everyone on all the other teams. We started to like him and enjoyed watching him piss off all the other teams.

I look at Rivers that way.

Did he go on to play shortstop for the Red Sox?

Rivers never personally bothered me. However, I dont want an old, end of career QB. Rather just roll with brissett

Rivers didn’t really bother me. I just think his skills are declining and they have better skill position talent on the Chargers than we do.

I am not convinced Rivers has much left to offer at this point. Probably still better than Brisket, but by how much?

Im mixed on this. Never like Rivers but he is a good QB. JB would benefit a lot from him.

Hoyer could be cut..... He was brought in as a mentor for JB . Not sure why people dot understand that. He was great for TB in preparation from what I read.

So roll with JB and build the rest of the team, or bring in Rivers and build the rest of the team until there is a real deal legit franchise guy to draft, or JB develops into one.

I do not like any QB's in this draft beyond Burrows and Tua. Tua was injured and is iffy and is left handed (dont like the way the oline is built for a lefty) so that leaves Burrows.

I honestly believe that is JB were in this draft he'd be talked about as a top 4-5 QB

Not sold on Love, Not sold on Herbert.... at least at 13. No way I want them at 13, too much other talent on the board to reach for a QB.

I want Kinlaw at 13 . or trade up to get Chase

I have never been a JB fan, butI'd rather build the D and roll with him for a yr, or bring on Rivers as a mentor for a few yrs.

Like him or not Rivers can play and can win some games
