Or it's McVisor's job to accept, be announced as Eagles head coach, then reconsider and withdraw his name from the job and remain with the Cheats.

Supposedly Eberflus had a great interview with the Texans. Who knows when they will select their head coach - they have interviewed 10 or so candidates. Some of the interviews occurred before they picked their GM - so now they are re-interviewing those candidates a second time with their new GM included.

Heard from a source today that Colts DC Matt Eberflus did a great job with his interview for the Texans head coaching job, and he’s considered an early favorite

Eagles hired Gannon, our db coach, as defensive coordinator. Nice sign that this administration knows what they are doing as we keep getting coaches poached from the staff.

Derp derp. I like how Jim does it at least. Gets the GM first. Then other pieces start to fall in place.

Good organizations will lose people. A head coach should look for young smart guys who want to become a HC. Look at Chuck Noll or Bill Walsh’s coaching tree.

And while you may lose talent, the organization will attract smart people looking to advance your team with a different out look. Great businesses, like great teams look for new points of view, because change is inevitable. Its better to ahead on that curve rather than behind it.

Not to mention that those young, ambitious coaches will know that the organization has become a pipeline for HC and coordinator positions, so they are more likely to look for interviews there.
