Spencer Ware states that it is his intention to play this year.

Rapoport states his injury will require ankle surgery and he is expected to be out 5 - 6 weeks. Since the Colts placed him on PUP, he cannot play for the Colts this year. He will need to reach an injury settlement and look for a contract elsewhere. https://twitter.com/RapSheet/status/...737499649?s=20 Quote:

I agree. Cut down day is going to be extremely difficult. Go with 3 running backs on the active roster and find one more RB that can be stashed on the PS. |

Yes, I think there were some tweaks to the details in the last CBA. From what I have seen, it depends on timing - if placed on the reserve/PUP list at the end of camp, a player only has to miss the first six weeks of the season, but since Ware was moved there in the middle of camp he can't suit up for the Colts this season. The Colts officially released Spencer Ware today. Apparently they finally reached an injury settlement.
