Doyel is so insufferable. The constant mentions of Taylor, as if Taylor would have played yesterday. The constant use of the word "weird". The whining about not being able to see Richardson play, like some whiny fan would do. The hints were there the past two days that Richardson would not lay, but he has to go Negative Nancy all the time. Give me a break!

He’s all the way wrong in this, there’s no benefit to him playing with all the backups vs all the bears backups. I love the idea of going into week 1 and the jags have no idea what the plan is. Get the reps in joint practice where nobody is filming. Go out there and beat the jags week 1 and fans will be all a board this will be forgotten real quick

Sadly, I think a lot read him, and then parrot the drivel on social media. Or he just sees their drivel and panders to them.

I quit reading when Doyel started bitching again about AR missing the one day of practice. Someone needs to clue him in on the reality that this season's success won't be based on wins but on how well AR develops, and that development is a marathon not a sprint which is likely to take multiple seasons. Missing 1 practice and ~one quarters worth of preseason snaps playing with backups isn't going to really make any difference in that marathon.
He also needs to make his mind up on JT. At the start of camp he was all over JT and his dipshit new agent for how they were acting. Now he's bitching that the Colts haven't signed him to a big extension and not playing him in a preseason game that he wouldn't have played in anyway. Complete hack of a "journalist". |

"Provocateur", really. Only aim is to incite a reaction and get clicks. Apparently he does that.
I don't know his history, but I notice a lot of journalists don't actually care much about their field. I've seen enough of them bounce around from politics to sports to Hollywood TMZ type stuff to whatever... Some actually love it. For some, it's just a gig. |

If I drove 80 miles, paid for parking, bought dinner in the stadium or a restaurant, I would have been disappointed, I suppose the younger fans even more not to see AR take some snaps. Disappointing fans is a poor business plan.
I will never bother with preseason games or camp ever again. I understand why they didnt play him, its their team. They could have been more forth coming about their plans. Disappointing young fans is a poor way to keep a fan base, and shelling out regular game prices for a glorified practice and not playing the starters for one series doesnt inspire trust with paying customers |

But if AR doesn’t work out, they can point to NasalGate as the reason. That missed day of practice. Last edited by Chromeburn; 08-20-2023 at 08:12 PM. |
