Any thread that even remotely touches Marvin Harrison is Colts related, IMO.

Yes. I agree. I am just saying that the kid will likely be drafted way before we pick.

Maybe Marvin Sr. will pull an Archie Manning and force whoever drafts him to trade him to the Colts?

I really don't give a crap about this guy. He isn't going to be a Colt so why should I care? His dad? Marvin had a prickly personality and disappeared in playoff games. Had one 100 yard game in playoffs (out of 16 games played) and it was in a blowout of Denver in a wild card game. He consistently came up small in the playoffs. He is way overrated on this board. Super star receivers come up big in big games, look at Jerry Rice. Marvin was a superstar regular season guy that couldn't do it post season. I know I am alone in this but I was never in love with the guy.

Couldn't the same be said of Peyton, at least winning post season as opposed to regular season?

Not really, at least in my mind. Peyton started very slowly in playoffs but after the first three years, from 2003 onward, he played well. Above 90 QB rating most years and above 100 for several. That he didn't win a ton is a knock against him but I feel it is more about the teams surrounding him. It is all opinion anyway and Peyton would most likely disagree with mine about Marvin.

o

A prickly personality is one thing ...... Eddie Murray and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar had prickly personalities ...... Marvin Harrison Sr. was once implicated in a murder.

hmmm lets see here. lets play a game. pretend you are a qb. you have a superstar wr going up against a superstar cb in champ bailey or ty law.

you also have a superstar wr going up against a cb that nobody remembers. what matchup do you like?

but yeah. it is more likely what you said. a superstar wr just didn't want to try hard in the playoffs. that makes the most sense. your logic is amazing
