Default Rushing Stats through week 3

I find it odd that I feel as if 25 for 79 @ 3.2 per is an off week in team rushing. On the season, we're ranked sixth, which I think is pretty damn good.

149 yards per game, allowed 114 yard per game. I like +35 rushing yards every week, and I think that will only get better.

Mack By himself has 299 yards on the season in 3 starts, on pace for 1500+.If he stays healthy and we keep our focus on the run, he will be in line for the rushing title. Elliot won it last year with 1454 yards on 15 games and a YPC of 4.7.

Mack is currently at 4.9 per carry. So despite what seems like lesser success than weeks 1 and 2, Mack is still on pace for a truly breakout season.

Bolded the important part.

No doubt Marlon is a talented running back. The key issue will be his durability. He missed 2 games in his rookie campaign (torn labrum in shoulder) and 4 games last year (hamstring). He has already been dealing with a calf injury this season. So far, no repetitive injury issue, however.

Mack has already racked up a high number of reps this season compared to the previous two years when looking at a rushing attempts/game rate. Will he be able to hold up under the higher usage rate? I hope so.

Running the ball just looks easier with this O-Line. They just maul people.

Fully agree with this. Ideally I would LOVE to see the Colts win the rushing title, but not Mack. I would like to see us at the end of the season with Mack, Hines, Wilkins, and hopefully even Williams all getting to very solid total rushing totals, and I think we can- but it is all about the OL staying healthy, if they do, I do think we will lead the league and by the end of the year will just be a battering ram chewing up clock by getting 150+ every game.

I think this is definitely a playoff team and I want Mack to be the hammer there and that means load management now.

Yeah Mack has looked really good, but I worry about if he can take the punishment for a full season with a lot of carries.

Dalvin Cook has the strongest case for the title this year, but its crazy to think Mack is in the running for it. I always liked him but never really thought of him as the kind of back to lead the league.

I thought Cook was the best RB in that draft. Nice to see him finally being able to show what he can do.

That clinching pull block- Q is getting all the pub, and damn he should, that's one for the ages just watching that DB curl up fetal and plead for his life. However the alignment, the scheme, FUCK man, we have the coolest MF'ers calling plays now.

3 TE's all lined up next to each other and no one going out- just slanting left and mashing EVERYONE in that zone so that some giant fast as all fuck 350 pound monster can run all the way across the foundation- unreal design and executed to perfection.

With plays like that being called Mack could very well get the rushing title without taking a shitload of abuse.
