Now that Doug Pederson is the Jacksonville head coach, he may poach one or two members of the coaching staff from the offensive side of the ball:

Expect Doug Pederson to give Press Taylor (now a Colts offensive assistant) consideration for a role with the Jaguars and Mike Caldwell (Buccaneers ILBs coach) as a candidate for defensive coordinator. Caldwell played and coached with Pederson with the Eagles.

Dodds interviewed for the Steelers GM job - their current GM is leaving the position after the NFL draft.

Quote:
The Steelers have interviewed three more candidates as they expand their search for a general manager to replace Kevin Colbert.

Team president Art Rooney II interviewed all three candidates when he was in Mobile, Ala., this week for the Senior Bowl — Indianapolis Colts assistant general manager Ed Dodds, Los Angeles Chargers director of player personnel JoJo Wooden and Tennessee Titans vice president of player personnel Ryan Cowden.

Colbert and coach Mike Tomlin were also in Mobile and likely participated in the interview sessions.

Even though the search for Colbert’s replacement has begun, Rooney said it is likely that person will not be hired until Colbert officially steps down after the draft.

Dodds has said he would be extremely picky when looking for a GM gig. This seems like the type of place he would want.

So, he would go from one team looking for a QB to another one looking for a QB.

Yep. Owner is patient, supportive, doesn’t make big changes often, and not too meddling. Tomlin is fine and Dodds could replace him in near future.

In addition to Dodds, the Steelers are also going to interview Morocco Brown for the GM position:

We haven’t seen it in outcome yet but NFL types really think highly of this organization. We never used to get poached like this. It is a very good sign

Montgomery is an expert in RPOs. Big part of his role in Indianapolis was sharing his knowledge of them to that staff.
