Agree... the intent was a bit of half-assed sarcasm. A complete Pags move, and probably one of the few late game time outs that actually helped us, despite the odds.

Why did he call a timeout with 10 seconds left? Palmer had his hands up and was about to call one...

while the icing timeout worked, the fact that they were in position to kick that FG boiled down to poor clock management at the end of the game. A few run plays and they don't even get that shot.
I think Pagano got lucky on that one.
